Ernest Emmett (Tiny) Hickman Jr., a 77-year-old longtime resident of West Blocton, passed away on Sunday, March 12.



A devout Christian, Tiny was both a talented vocalist and musician who performed with multiple gospel groups. He will be remembered as a salt-of-the-earth pillar of the community who had a zest for life and a knack for brightening the lives of everyone fortunate enough to have known such an honorable and outgoing person.



He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Elizabeth Faye Pope Hickman; son Ernest Emmett (Trey) Hickman III; grandson Keaton...

Ernest Emmett (Tiny) Hickman Jr., a 77-year-old longtime resident of West Blocton, passed away on Sunday, March 12.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Elizabeth Faye Pope Hickman; son Ernest Emmett (Trey) Hickman III; grandson Keaton Hughston Hickman; and a host of nieces and nephews, as well as an innumerable amount of longstanding friends.



Visitation will be Wednesday, March 15 from 11:00 to 1:00 at Lowerytown Baptist Church in West Blocton, followed immediately by funeral service at Lowerytown Baptist Church, then graveside service at nearby Kinard Cemetery.
